As part of a push to hear from professionals currently in the field, Grants High students got to hear a talk from television weatherman Dante Ricci Wednesday.
Ricci, currently a weatherman at WCHS in Charleston, West Virginia, spoke with students from broadcasting and journalism classes via Zoom.
Ricci’s talk focused on the science behind the weather, what it takes to work on-air, and how networking is key in the field.
Ricci praised the broadcast program at GHS, noting the skills students are acquiring in the program and complimented the students on their recent GHS Morning Show programs.

At the end of his presentation, Ricci opened the floor up for questions, where students got to engage in an educational Q and A about the field and ask what was on their mind.
